Oven Candle Instructions
First of all — if you are planning to use your Baking Candle for a special occasion, bake it at least once before the big day. It takes several hours for these candles to reach their “scent potential.” Don’t turn your oven temperature up to try to speed up the process! You could easily end up burning your candle and ruining the aroma.
Remove the plastic wrap and plastic lid from your Baking Candle and place the candle on a baking sheet in a conventional or convection oven pre-heated to 250 to 300 degrees Farenheit for up to four hours. (If you want to leave your candle in the oven all day reduce the oven temperature.) During conventional baking the oven door may be left partially open to allow the aroma to spread more quickly. After four hours (or less, if desired) turn the oven off and allow your candle to come to room temperature as the oven cools. Your Baking Candle may be reheated as desired.
WARNING: Keep out of reach of children, especially when contents are hot.
Adults should use extreme caution when handling Baking Candles while they are still hot — contents may be liquified and easily spilled. Move a heated Baking Candle only on a baking sheet — NEVER with bare hands. If you are in serious need of faster aroma — a heated baking candle may be gently stirred with a spoon (while still on baking sheet in oven).
For Best Results:
— Do not overheat
– Do not heat at temperatures higher than 300 degrees Farenheit
– Do not place candle directly on oven rack
– Do not heat in microwave oven
Baking Candles contain natural waxes, spices and foodstuffs, BUT THEY ARE NOT EDIBLE NOR INTENDED TO BE EATEN.
IF YOU SPILL YOUR CANDLE . . .
Beeswax can be easily removed from most surfaces with products such as “Goo Gone” or “Krud Kutter.” Lemon Oil will also work in most instances. Beeswax is difficult to remove from clothing.
I think every piece of clothing I own has wax on it!
So the best advice is BE CAREFUL!
If accidental ingestion or injury occurs seek medical help immediately.
